Burley Trojans Ladies Football sponsorship

I am proud to announce that I am now an official sponsor for Burley Trojans Ladies FC, a local team coached by Tony Gll, manager of the team for over 20 years. Recently he coached his 500th game for the local Burley in Wharfedale club.

As a local resident and facilitator of wellness and yoga classes in Burley for the past 5 years  and the Wharfedale area delivering yoga I thought it would be a fantastic collaboration to support the local community links. In conjunction with the England lionesses winning the Euros in 2022, it is even more important to inspire the next generation of young girls wanting to get into football. 

Physically, Yoga has countless benefits as practiced by professional sports teams worldwide including football, cricket and Novak Djokovic has a dedicated practice and he merits his success on the court on the mental benefits of a strong and focused mind during matches. 

Mobility allows the passive and active stretches in yoga to hydrate and lubricate ease of joints. Facilitating deep tissue myofascial release and preventive care and post- recovery are really encouraged alongside an active lifestyle and in particular with high impact sports such as football. 

Yoga not only has many physical gains for the body but even more for the mind with the ability to learn to breathe effectively during sports and during moments of high stress to calm the central nervous system in pressured situations such as a big match. Using these tools and techniques can help to alleviate a young person's anxiety and tension around high pressure situations. We can allow the body a way to relax and soften muscles  into a regular meditation practice. 

This can have a positive mental impact and in turn help to bring our bodies into a state of rest and recovery and allow us a process to be healthy and happy for the future.
